The following table describes release dates for the software and user guide for 26.04 releases. The link from the software to the user guide always points to the latest version of the user guide.

User Guide Version 1 Updates

External Certificate Authority

Lighthouse administrators now have the ability to configure and initialize an external certificate authority in the Lighthouse UI.

The following documentation is updated or added:

• The following new topics are added to describe procedures to:

  • Configure an External Certificate Authority in UI

  • Check Revocation Status

  • View External Certificate Authority Logs

• A new External Certificate Authority Page is added to display the screen and describe the fields used to configure an external CA.

• The Lighthouse Certificate Management topic is updated and slightly rearranged to reflect this additional ability.

• The External Certificate Authority permission is documented on the Manage Roles topic.

• The Configure an External Certificate Authority in CLI topic is updated with a note around the ability to also configure a CA in the UI.

Net2Net Failover

You can enable Failover Reporting to see real-time status tracking of failover events across Opengear appliances, ensuring that you can quickly identify which nodes are in failover mode.

The following documentation is added or updated:

• The Node Reporting page (previously the Cell Health Reporting page) is updated to reflect the split of cell health and failover reporting and now contains two separate tabs.

• The Dashboard page and Nodes page topics are updated with new icons to show the types of failover.

• A new Failover Reporting topic is added to provide information around enabling failover reporting.

• The Cellular Health Reporting topic is updated to reflect new paths and tabs.

• The Node Details page is updated to show that it displays duration and time of failover.

• The Failover Reporting permission is documented on the Manage Roles topic.

Other Documentation Updates

• The Load Lighthouse section under Setting up Lighthouse is slightly rearranged to reflect a more accurate order of actions.

• The Enroll Nodes via OM, ACM, CM, or IM Web UI topic is updated to include some additional information and updated references.

• The Set up Lighthouse as a Connected Resource Gateway (CRG) topic is updated to include an explanation of what CRG is, and what you can use it for.

• The Manage Subscriptions topic is updated to include information about subscription expiry.

• The Lighthouse Overview topic is updated to provide a more informative overview.

• You can now view and edit the content of script templates. A new Edit Script Templates Page topic is added, and the Edit Script Templates topic is updated to include steps to view and edit script templates.

• The About this User Guide topic is updated to include a note about the use of images in the user guide and the EULA and GPL statement.

• The RADIUS Configuration topic is updated to include the ability to select MS-CHAPv2 as the server authentication protocol.

• The Settings Pane topic is updated to reflect the new Settings Pane > Security sub-menu, and the items under that menu. Multiple pages have had their navigation path updated to reflect this change.

• The Examine or Modify the Lighthouse SSL Certificate topic is updated to reflect updated procedures to upload HTTPS certificates and private keys or generate a CSR. A new HTTPS Certificate Page topic is also added to capture the updated User Interface.

• There is a new CLI tool to enable and disable the AWS System Manager service. A new ssm_agent topic is added to describe the tool, and the Configure and Launch the Instance topic (when installing on AWS) is updated to reflect permissions around the service.
